Our Team

The Valvet Veterinary Hospital is staffed by professionals specialised in various areas. There are 11 veterinary surgeons and 4 assistants who provide a 24-hour service, 365 days a year. We have a multidisciplinary team to ensure that both owners and their pets can benefit from the finest professionals in the sector, state-of-the-art equipment and the best professional advice.

Veterinarians

Ana Isabel Tejedor

Veterinary Director

After graduating in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2009, she worked in a number of hospitals and clinics in Spain. She has completed a postgraduate course in Orthopaedics and is currently doing a postgraduate course in Ophthalmology. In addition to her areas of specialisation, her interests include emergency medicine, surgery and internal medicine.

Cristina Sebastián

Veterinary

Veterinary surgeon After graduating Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2017, she completed a 3-year internship at the Zaragoza faculty hospital. She has a Master’s Degree in Small Animal Medicine, and is currently studying a master’s degree in exotic animals. Her areas of interest are surgery, exotic animals and emergency medicine.

Mariela Subiran

Veterinary

Veterinary surgeon After graduating in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2019, she went on to complete several clinical training courses. She continues to take further training courses and her main areas of interest are ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging and surgery.

Cristina Soriano

Veterinary

She obtained a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2021. Since 2018 she has completed internships in a number of centres. Her main areas of interest are e ethology, nutrition, surgery and exotic animals.

Vanesa Solé

Veterinary

After graduating in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2017, she completed a 2-year internship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Hospital in Zaragoza. She continues to undertake training courses and has presented posters at a number of congresses. Her areas of interest are orthopaedics, ophthalmology and emergency medicine and hospitalisation.

Alejandra Trobo

Veterinary

Alejandra obtained a Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2021. She collaborates with the animal medicine dentistry and surgery service at the Clinical Veterinary Hospital of the Complutense University in Madrid. A specialist in dentistry, she has contributed to several manuals, books and articles.

María Salas

Veterinary Assistant

Despite starting her career as an equine veterinary assistant, María was soon attracted to the world of small animals and completed her training in this area. Maria has been with Valvet since it was founded and she is particularly interested in surgery and hospitalisation. She enjoys spending her free time with her three dogs and cat, and horse riding is her passion.

Jesica Ballesteros

Veterinary Assistant

Jesica joined Valvet hospital in 2019. She began her training in dog and cat grooming, before going on to train as a clinical, technical and surgical veterinary assistant. She is passionate about cats and nutritional advice.

Tamara Domingo

Veterinary Assistant

Tamara has been a member of the Valvet hospital team since 2022. She completed the course of Veterinary Technical Assistant and Veterinary Clinic Assistant at ISED, and is also a certified groomer. Her vocation for working with animals goes back to an early age: she is passionate about her work and would like to continue training to be able to help all the patients at the clinic.

Silvia Peña

Dog groomer

Silvia joined us in 2022 and is responsible for our ARTERO grooming salon and school. She is a trained veterinary assistant and is also a qualified dog and cat groomer. Her main areas of interest are cosmetics and dermatology. She has completed courses in clinical assistance, dog grooming and aesthetics.

She has always had a passion for animals and since 2019 has been working in the kennels, looking after and giving cuddles to all the “doggies” that are brought to us.
