Jorge Carvajal

Jorge graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2018, where he collaborated as a student intern in the Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Departments.After a 3-year internship at the Veterinary Hospital of the Faculty of Zaragoza, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Small Animal Clinic I and II, and an Expert Master’s Degree in Therapeutic and Diagnostic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Interventionism. His main areas of interest are Cardiology, Internal Medicine and minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy techniques. He is a great fan of hiking and basketball, activities that he practises whenever his work allows him to do so.

María Vivas
Veterinary
María graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2018. She spent 6 months working in Bolivia on international exchange in sterilisation plans for animal shelters.She has a Master’s Degree in Small Animal Clinic I and II, completing a 3-year internship with different clinical rotations. She holds the title of Expert in Therapeutic and Diagnostic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Interventionism. She also has a postgraduate degree in small animal surgery and anaesthesia from the UAB. Her areas of interest are Surgery, Internal Medicine and Oncology. As a good oscense, she loves outdoor sports, music and travelling in the company of positive people, but what she likes most is to enjoy her family and friends.

Lucía Larrubia
Veterinary
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Córdoba in 2022. That same year, she went to Ireland, where she worked for two years in a mixed-practice clinic with all types of animals, from cows to dogs, cats, and exotics. This has provided her with extensive experience in handling and resolving a wide variety of cases. She has now returned to Spain to focus on small animal practice and to train in both soft tissue surgery and diagnostic imaging.In her spare time, she is passionate about enjoying nature with her dog, Scorpio.

Anna Berge
Veterinary
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza in 2021, where she collaborated on the equine internship. Subsequently, she worked for 3 years on a postgraduate degree in Paris, at a reference hospital for small animal emergencies and surgery. She has a particular interest in ophthalmology (Improve International postgraduate), soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.Being French, she enjoys cheese and is passionate about travelling and hiking in the mountains.

Francisco Molada
Veterinary
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Córdoba in 1999. In addition to working as a clinician in various hospitals and clinics throughout Spain, he has developed teaching roles in several training courses for both veterinary nurses and veterinarians. His main areas of interest are diagnostic imaging, internal medicine and feline medicine. He is currently undertaking a postgraduate degree in diagnostic imaging.Fran is a great cat lover and enjoys painting miniatures, playing board games and travelling.

Andreu Perez

Andreu Pérez Puig graduated from CEU-Cardenal Herrera University in 2023. During his university studies, he dedicated much of his time as an intern collaborator to general surgery, especially in traumatology and orthopedics.In June 2025, he obtained a university expert title in traumatology and orthopedics through UCAM and is currently pursuing the GPAdv-Cert in traumatology and orthopedics with Improve International. He focused his final degree project on the use of CBD in managing cancer patients and currently collaborates remotely with PetRemedy CBD, a North American company, creating educational content.

Maria Valero

Marta Valero Nacher graduated in Veterinary Medicine from CEU Cardenal Herrera University in 2025, where she collaborated in the Department of Pathological Anatomy.During her training, she completed various national and international internships, acquiring experience in the management of wildlife and exotic animals. Notable among these are her participation in projects in the Ecuadorian Amazon (Tiputini Biodiversity Station) and South Africa (Crew Foundation). Her main area of interest is internal medicine, although she is open to continuous learning and development in other specialties. In her free time, she enjoys going on excursions with her dog and traveling.

Lucía Castillo
Veterinary Assistant
Lucía Castillo Melero is a Veterinary Assistant. She completed her training in 2011, developing her skills in small animal clinical practice.Additionally, she spent 12 years working with protected species, particularly birds of prey, reptiles, and small mammals, gaining extensive knowledge in their handling, care, and nutrition. Since 2021, she has been a key part of the Hospital Nueva Andalucía team, where she has specialized in emergency services, hospitalization, and intensive care (ICU), currently serving as one of the leads in this department. In her free time, she loves practicing sports, spending time with her family, and exploring the landscapes of Almería.

Cristina Expósito

She has been working as a veterinary assistant since 2013 and since then has continued her training by attending various courses in canine clinical practice and ethology.She joined our team in 2024, but since 2013 she has worked in the multiple roles performed in a small clinic, ranging from receptionist to canine groomer.
She is an enthusiastic, active, and animal-loving person, always willing to help and care for them.
Her hobbies include traveling, especially with her dog. She loves discovering new cultures, enjoying the gastronomy of each place, and nature, whether it be the beach or the mountains. Additionally, she is a great sportswoman.

Iván Granados
Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Almería, Iván completed his Veterinary Assistant training at our hospital and, upon finishing this period, was hired. He began studies in Biological Sciences, which have provided him with a solid scientific foundation and enable him to continue training in areas such as intensive care and clinical nutrition.His greatest satisfaction at work comes from the close and careful attention he gives to the animals, to whom he gives all his love to improve their health and well-being.

Joan Gallego

A Veterinary Assistant since 2022, he moved from Mataró to Almería and, since October 2024, has been part of our team. His love for animals has made it his profession, after working in different employment sectors. He lived and worked in London, where he began his journey in animal care.He spends his free time reading, motorcycling, playing sports or discovering the corners of his new home, Almería.

Cintia Rodríguez

Originally from Tenerife, she is passionate about the profession that allows her to care for animals and restore their health. Her extensive experience comes from years of working in various clinics in Tenerife and Almería. She has primarily trained in the area of feline medicine, with placements at internationally renowned specialised centres.She loves to travel, scuba diving and enjoys the company of her cat.

Irene is a Veterinary Technical Assistant with more than 3 years of experience in animal care and welfare. Her work is based on a deep vocation, commitment, and love for animals, values that guide each of her professional actions.In addition to her clinical work, she actively collaborates with an animal welfare association dedicated to rescuing abandoned animals, accompanying them through their recovery and preparing them to find a forever home through adoption. She is one of our receptionists, and her manner with clients is affectionate, responsible, empathetic, and of high quality, always prioritizing the health and well-being of each animal and their guardians. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing sports, and spending time with the animals she fosters, activities that help her grow as a person, stay active, and develop values such as perseverance, empathy, and commitment.

Eva María Díaz Urendes is a Veterinary Technical Assistant (VTA) with over 6 years of experience in the care and attention of companion animals, with a special dedication to the feline field.Her professional career is distinguished by a responsible, approachable, and highly committed approach to the holistic well-being of every patient. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exploring the beaches of her home region, Almería, and the company of her cats.
