At NA Veterinarios, we have a team of veterinary professionals made up of qualified vets and highly skilled technicians. They are all characterised by their extensive training and their passion for animals.

Veterinarians

Susana Portela

Veterinary Director

Susana is a highly qualified veterinarian with a wealth of experience in various disciplines of veterinary medicine. Graduate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Cordoba in 2002, she has continued her training and specialisation over the years

Her focus encompasses areas such as ethology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, dermatology and integrative medicine. Her credentials include a postgraduate degree in Cardiology, a diploma in Veterinary Acupuncture, and a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Murcia. In addition, she has shared her knowledge through lectures and talks at conferences and events related to veterinary medicine. As an active member of AVEPA and GECAR, Susana remains committed to the advancement of the veterinary profession.

 

In her practice, Susana excels in diagnostic imaging and cardiology, meaning she can address complex medical problems in animals with precision. Her focus on integrative medicine, including acupuncture and nutritherapy according to TCM, shows her interest in the complete well-being of animals.

Victor Jurado

Veterinary Director

Veterinarian specialised in Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery with more than two decades of experience. He graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Cordoba in 2003 and later specialised at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Madrid in 2009.

He has been accredited by AVEPA in Traumatology and Orthopaedics since May 2023 and by BIOMETRIX for the placement of hip prostheses since April 2023. He is renowned for his commitment to continuing education, having completed courses such as the orthopaedic modular with Dr. Carlos Macías and AO Vet programmes. His residency in surgery and anaesthesia at Serveis Veterinari Baix de Llobregat provided him with a solid foundation in advanced surgery.

 

Víctor is mainly dedicated to the areas of surgery, traumatology and ophthalmology, areas in which he has actively participated in courses and congresses. He is a leading member of the Spanish Society of Veterinary Traumatology and Orthopaedics (SETOV) and the Association of Veterinary Specialists in Small Animals (AVEPA).

 

In addition, Victor is authorised by the Royal CEPPA to perform official radiographic studies for the diagnosis of Dysplasia.

Adrián Herrera

Veterinarian

Adrián is a veterinarian who graduated from the University of Córdoba in 2014, renowned for his focus on continuing education and specialisation. He has completed significant courses, such as Emergency and Intensive Care in Small Animals.

He has also studied Pathology and Conservation of Exotic Species. His interests span a wide range of veterinary fields, including internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, exotic animal care, nutrition and ophthalmology. This diversity of expertise makes him a valuable and versatile resource for the care and treatment of domestic and exotic animals.

 

Adrián is passionately committed to improving veterinary care and his continued professional growth. His passion for the veterinary field and his focus on a wide range of disciplines make him a highly skilled and versatile professional in the care of animals of all species and sizes.

Julia García

Veterinarian

Julia is a veterinarian with a solid background and a passion for constant improvement. She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Córdoba in 2014 and complemented her education with a six-month internship at a veterinary hospital in the province of Cádiz.

Julia has pursued excellence through courses and continuing education, focusing on critical areas such as kidney disease, atopy, chronic otitis and antibiotic resistance. She has shared her knowledge through lectures, including one on haematology interpretation. Her main areas of interest are oncology and dermatology, where she proves her commitment to animal health and welfare through her training and experience.

Pablo Yufera

Veterinarian

Pablo is a veterinarian who graduated from the University of Murcia in 2017. Since then, he has worked at different small animal veterinary clinics, growing professionally. He is in constant training, taking courses, attending symposiums and lectures on animal pathology and use of medicines.

His areas of interest are internal medicine and dermatology. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Small Animal Dermatology.

Antonio Pérez

Veterinarian

Antonio, a Veterinary Surgeon, graduated from the University of Cordoba in 2011. He has dedicated his career to general veterinary practice, encompassing emergencies, surgery, and hospitalisation from the outset at CV Puerta Grande. He complemented his training with a postgraduate degree in traumatology and orthopaedics in 2021.

He also has expertise in anaesthesia and analgesia through continuous training since 2015. His career reflects a constant commitment to animal care and the enhancement of his skills in critical areas of veterinary medicine.

Paula Miranda

Veterinarian

Paula, a Veterinary Surgeon, graduated from the University of Cordoba in 2018, focusing on Internal Medicine and Feline Medicine. Her training began in her university's Internal Medicine department as a collaborating student and continued with a postgraduate degree in Small Animal Internal Medicine (2022) from the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies.

She possesses robust additional training in emergency and critical care (2014), feline medicine specialisation (2017 and 2018), oncological cytology (2019), and inhalant anaesthesia (2020), among other fields. She has actively participated in Andalusian Congresses, presenting on immune-mediated thrombocytopenia and the management of infected wounds.

With seven years of work experience in small animal clinics, Paula demonstrates a continuous commitment to updating her knowledge and improving her veterinary practice.

Macarena Gil

Veterinarian

Macarena, a Veterinary Surgeon, graduated from the University of Cordoba, with an interest in neurology and emergency medicine. She recently completed a postgraduate degree in Veterinary Neurology (GPCert) with Improve Veterinary. She plans to embark on a second postgraduate training in this speciality, aiming to obtain AVEPA accreditation.

Throughout her career, she has worked in various veterinary clinics and hospitals, gaining experience in general medicine and, especially, in hospitalisation and emergencies, an area that motivates her due to its

 dynamism and clinical demands. She enjoys teamwork, patient follow-up, and environments that foster continuous learning, along with a keen interest in advanced diagnostic imaging training (CT and MRI).

Veterinarian Technicians & Assistants

Lola Villa

Veterinary Assistant

Lola is a professional with a solid background as a Veterinary Technical Assistant. She obtained her qualification in 2016 through Formación Universitaria and complemented her training with an additional 400 hours at our training centre.

Her experience covers canine and feline grooming, with skills in breed specific cuts such as Yorkshire Terrier, West Highland Terrier and Cocker.

 

Lola has also participated in training days on customer care and the role of the assistant in the reception and sale of pet food. Her knowledge extends to diagnostic equipment, having been trained in the use of the Idexx Procyted and Catalist, emphasising the importance of analysis charts. Lola is a committed and versatile professional in the field of veterinary care, providing valuable support in a variety of areas.

Daniel Pozo

Veterinary Assistant

Daniel is a professional with a solid background as a Veterinary Assistant and Technical Assistant focused on companion animals. He obtained his degree in 2016 from the Facultad Alfonso X El Sabio.

He has continued his education and professional development since then. His experience includes participation in seminars on Safe Inhalation Anaesthesia and Patient Sedation, which highlights his commitment to animal safety and welfare.

 

In addition, Daniel has complemented his training with courses in various areas, including Prevention and Treatment of Parasitic Diseases, Complaints and Claims Management, and Small Animal Nutrition. His participation in the 2016 AVEPA-SEVC National Congress for ATV’s proves his dedication to keeping up to date with the latest developments and trends in the veterinary industry. Daniel Pozo Lopez is a valuable resource in companion animal care.

Alejandro Atienza

Receptionist

Our most charismatic receptionist, well known by everyone and noted for his people skills. Alejandro is a multifaceted professional with extensive training and experience in various fields.

In addition to his diploma in Business Studies and his degree as a Technical Specialist in Administration and Finance, he has completed numerous courses ranging from computer applications and graphic design to occupational risk prevention and customer service in conflict situations.

 

Her participation in events and congresses, such as the IVEE Symposium 2017 and the III Al Andalus Vet Congress 2019, demonstrates his commitment to constantly updating his knowledge.

Óscar Jurado

Receptionist

His main area of expertise is in administration work. Óscar is a professional with a solid background in naval radioelectronics, backed by his diploma awarded by the University of Cádiz.

His skills include supplier and customer relations, team management, sales campaign development, purchasing and logistics management, and the creation of personalised economic plans. His commitment to continuous learning is evidenced by his participation in training events such as the III Al Andalus Vet Congress, the ColVet Cadiz seminar on Veterinary Clinic Management, and the CEC Cadiz seminar ‘Achieving objectives’. Oscar Jurado Sánchez is a highly skilled and versatile professional.

Aroa Ruiz

Veterinary Assistant

Aroa is a veterinary assistant with more than a year of experience at Clínica Nueva Andalucía. She has completed courses in Veterinary Assistance, Animal-Assisted Intervention,

and Marketing and Management of Animal Facilities, as well as holding a diploma in Operation of Radiodiagnostic Facilities.

 

In her current position, Aroa is responsible for a wide range of functions, including customer service, preparing patients for consultations and surgeries, assisting the veterinarian in the operating theatre, and cleaning and sterilising equipment.

 

Her duties include preparing animals for any surgery and dressing to assist the surgeon in the operating theatre.

Ana Velázquez

Veterinary Assistant

Ana graduated as a Veterinary Technical Assistant at the Paloma Mariscal Academy, and has continued her development with a Higher Vocational Certificiate in Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Assistance from the IES San Juan de Dios.

Committed to constantly updating her knowledge, Ana has participated in Elanco’s training programmes, addressing crucial topics such as parasites, zoonosis, pain and allergies. Her presence at the AVEPA-SEVC 2022 Congress and her participation in specialised events, such as AVEPA’s Skin Care in Dogs and Cats course, reflect her dedication to excellence in her field.

 

Ana has recently obtained certification as an X-ray operator from the Cadiz College of Veterinary Surgeons, underlining her commitment to acquiring advanced technical skills. Her professional development continues with training sessions, such as the one dedicated to ACVs at UNAVETS, demonstrating her constant quest for knowledge.

 

 

Patricia Gutiérrez

Veterinary Assistant

Patricia graduated as a veterinary technician assistant in 2017 from the veterinary clinic Portacoeli, with more than six years of experience in customer service, assistance in veterinary consultation, hospitalisation and operating theatre.

She is certified as an operator of diagnostic imaging rays, granted by the College of Veterinarians of Cadiz. She is also trained in canine aesthetics by Artero Academy.
