What is a CT scan and why is it so important?
A CT scan is a non-invasive imaging diagnostic tool that uses X-rays to create highly detailed cross-sectional images of organs, bones, soft tissues, and blood vessels. Unlike a conventional X-ray, which offers a two-dimensional image, a CT scan generates hundreds of “slice” images that, when combined, form a complete three-dimensional reconstruction.
