Veterinary Director
Alberto graduated from the University of Zaragoza in 2003, studing Veterinary Medicine and completed an Erasmus at the University of Nantes, France in his last year.Fue allí, dónde durante un período de 6 años, se inició en el campo de la Neurología, Traumatología, Endocrinología y Reproducción. Desde 2008, forma parte del equipo del Hospital Veterinari de Lleida, donde lleva a cabo su labor como experto cirujano y otros ámbitos de la disciplina, como son Ecografía Abdominal, Cuidados intensivos, Medicina Interna y Dermatología.
Olga Romera
Veterinary Director
Olga graduated from the University of Zaragoza with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and subsequently completed a two-year internship at the veterinary hospital of the same university.She is a member of the Spanish Association of Veterinarians Specialised in Small Animals (AVEPA), and she joined the team at Hospital Veterinario de Lleida in 2005. Olga completed a postgraduate course in ophthalmology at the UAB. She oversees the surgery and ophthalmology service, the latter being her great passion and to which she dedicates a large part of her training. She is the ‘eyes’ of the clinic. In her free time, she loves dancing and walking her two greyhounds.
Luis Gómez
Veterinarian
Luis graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona in 1992. He is a member of the Federation of Spanish Veterinarians Specialists in Small Animals(AVEPA). He specialises in Cardiology, Dermatology and Internal Medicine. He joined the Lleida Veterinarian Hospital in 2000, and is one of the most experienced professionals in the team.
Donitizi Vázquez
Veterinarian
Donitizi completed her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zulia, Venezuela in 2005. She specialises in the Dermatology of small animals,as well as Internal Medicine and General Surgery of both small and large animals. She also earned an online master’s degree in Dermatology from the UAB. “For me, veterinary medicine is a family tradition.”
Anna Martí
Veterinarian
Anna graduated from the Universitat Autònoma, Barcelona in 2013, studying Veterinary Medicine. To expand her training, she made numerous visits to the Hospital of the same universityThis helped her learning in the field of internal medicine, emergencies and intensive care. Gazulla joined the team in 2016 and she has strived ever since to improve and grow as a professional. Her goal is to provide the best care for our pets.

Madalina Matei
Veterinarian
Madalina finished her degree in Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, in July 2018. In December of the same year, she moved to Lleida, where she is waiting for the homologation of her university degree.She has been working as an ATV in different veterinary clinics since 2014, but in November 2020, she joined our team at the Veterinary Hospital of Lleida. She has wanted to be a vet since she was a child, and loves working with both dogs and cats. She aims to keep improving her skills so that she can help her patients to the best of her ability.
Beatriz Urraca
Veterinarian
Beatriz graduated in 2017 from the Complutense University of Madrid in Veterinary Medicine. She combined her studies with internships at the university hospital,specialising in diagnostic imaging and neurology services. Since then, she has been working in the small animal clinic, and dedicating part of her free time to further training, mainly in the fields of internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. She loves music and the mountains.

Agus Marín
Receptionist/Assistant
Agus joined the Lleida Veterinary Hospital in 1997. She was the first person to work with the company’s founder, Javier Gascón Pomar, since its opening. She is responsible for customer service,sales and administrative tasks, as well as the management of visits in collaboration and coordination with the veterinary team. Her extensive experience and training in nutrition allow the hospital to offer our clients better nutritional advice and service.
Elena Moisescu
Veterinary Assistant
Elena has been a veterinary assistant at the Veterinary Hospital of Lleida since 2021. She is in charge of helping our veterinarians both in consultations and in surgery.She cleans and sterilises the surgical material, monitors the animals so that they recover after each surgery and makes sure that everything is in order so that the pets are as well cared for as possible. Her hobbies include exploring the outdoors, especially the mountains, and photography.
Chantal Alarcón
Veterinary Assistant
Chantal has always had animals, and that is why she decided to turn her passion into her profession. She completed veterinary assistant and VTA programmes in 2014.Since then, she has always worked with animals. Her goal is to learn and improve each day to continue growing professionally and personally. Her job is to take care of and pamper all the pets that visit the Hospital, giving all customers the best assistance with a warm smile to make them feel right at home. In her free time, she enjoys being with family, continuing her studies, taking care of all her pets and riding horses.
Patricia Ampuero
Cleaner
During the frantic days at the Veterinary Hospital of Lleida, Patricia always keeps the hospital together, ensuring that all of our facilities are in perfect condition,so our clients recieve quality service. She conveys her great love for animals, especially dogs, through her permanent, infectious smile.

Javier Gascón Pomar
(1967-2014) Founder
Javier Gascón Pomar graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Bellaterra (Barcelona) in 1992. Throughout his professional career, he was trained in different areas of Veterinary Medicine, specialising in Traumatology.In 1996, he founded the Hospital Veterinari de Lleida. He wanted it to be a reference centre in the city and for it to be made up of a team of multidisciplinary professionals who would offer quality service to all their customers. These goals materialised day by day due to his extraordinary professionalism, dedication, work drive, effort and most importantly, enthusiasm.
His motto was “”…you can always do more and better…””. From his inner strength, values and convictions came his great charisma, which made him an exceptional person. And from his great passions, his wife and children, family, friends, work and hobbies, he made his life.
With his innate desire to help others, he collaborated on different occasions with the project “”Una gota, un somriure””, an organisation that helps the Sareh Kokeh people in Gambia.
His wife and children: Marisol, Nidia and Daniel, carry on his legacy, the Veterinary Hospital of Lleida.
To do so, they count onc the work of the team of professionals at Lleida, some of them with whom Javier worked and shared experiences from the beginning, as well as with the necessary new incorporations, which allow us to continue to maintain a relationship of trust and professionalism with our clients, to offer them our best service.
