Vaccination and Parasite Control

Keeping our pets up to date with their vaccinations and deworming is crucial for their health and the health of the entire family. Vaccines protect against serious diseases like distemper, parvovirus, or rabies, while deworming prevents the transmission of internal (worms) and external parasites (fleas, ticks, or mosquitoes).

Did you know that many pet owners believe that animals who don’t go outside don’t need these measures? This is a myth: parasites can enter the home on our clothes, shoes, or even through the air. Therefore, it is essential to establish a schedule for both internal and external deworming to ensure the well-being of the whole family.

Puppies and kittens need a more frequent schedule of vaccines and deworming than adults, and for senior animals, it is advisable to have annual check-ups to adjust the routine.

Consulting a vet allows you to establish a personalised plan based on the pet’s age, lifestyle, and risks in your area. Keeping these preventative measures up to date is much easier and cheaper than treating a serious illness after it has developed.
