Javier brings over 16 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine. He is the founder and leader of Villalba Veterinary Clinic. A graduate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Lugo in 2004,Javier completed an internship and residency at the renowned Rof Codina Veterinary Hospital, where he gained a strong foundation in small animal medicine.
Following his advanced training, Javier founded Villalba Veterinary Clinic in 2008 with the goal of providing high-quality care for pets in the region.
Specializing in surgery, Javier has performed numerous complex procedures throughout his career, consistently applying the most advanced techniques to ensure the recovery and well-being of his patients. His comprehensive approach to veterinary medicine, combined with his passion for animals, has made him a highly respected veterinarian in the community.
Ignacio Cuesta
Veterinarian
With a strong background in diagnostic imaging and internal medicine, Ignacio is a key member of our veterinary team. A graduate of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lugo in 2013,Ignacio furthered his training at the renowned Rof Codina Veterinary Hospital, specializing in advanced diagnostic imaging techniques.
His career path took him to various clinics in Málaga, where he gained extensive experience in internal medicine before returning to Lugo to join Villalba Veterinary Clinic.
Diego Rolle
Veterinarian
Diego joined the Villalba Veterinary Clinic team after graduating in 2015 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Lugo. His career has been shaped by international experiences, allowing him to train at some of the world’s top veterinary clinics.An expert in internal medicine, Diego has implemented innovative techniques for treating various diseases in small animals, earning recognition as one of the most passionate and dedicated veterinarians in feline care.
With a focus on empathy and holistic care, Diego has been instrumental in improving the health and quality of life of numerous cats, fostering close relationships with both the animals and their owners.
Ángela Muíña
Veterinarian
Ángela graduated in 2017 and, after gaining experience at the Rof Codina University Hospital, joined the Villalba Veterinary Clinic team in 2020. She specializes in veterinary surgery, where she has developed advanced skills in both emergency and scheduled procedures.Her precision and attention to detail have made her one of the most competent surgeons at our clinic.
Her dedication to animal welfare and her commitment to utilizing the latest technologies in veterinary surgery position her as one of the most respected and admired veterinarians among her colleagues and clients.

Laura Domínguez
Veterinary Assistant
Laura has over 10 years of experience in animal care and handling. Before joining our team in 2024, she worked with various animal associations and colonies in the Municipality of Jerez de la Frontera.Her passion for animal welfare led her to complete her studies as a Veterinary Technician Assistant at UNED.
