Carlota Luisa Batalla Navarro
Directora Veterinaria
After graduating in Veterinary Medicine in 2005 from the CEU Cardinal Herrera University, Carlota spent five years working in emergency medicine in two centresand continued to train in small animal surgery and internal medicine. She joined Tropical Manises in 2009, where she has been the Technical Veterinary Director since 2011. She supervises the team of veterinary surgeons and assistants, and her areas of interest are Dermatology, Surgery and Internal Medicine. Outside the veterinary field, she takes every opportunity to explore nature, one of her passions. She also loves spending time with her family and friends and reading a good book in her spare time.

Guillermo Doñate Sorribas
Veterinaria
Guillermo has been a member of the team at the Tropical Manises clinic for five years. He graduated from the CEU Cardinal Herrera University where he also completed a postgraduate course in internal medicine.He is passionate about surgery and is in charge of exotic animal consultations. In his free time, he enjoys running in the mountains.

Eva Otero Esteso
Veterinaria
Eva is a dedicated and committed professional who has been part of the Tropical Manises team since 2009. With a solid academic background, she obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Cardenal Herrera - CEU University in Moncada in 2004.Throughout her career, Eva has demonstrated her passion for the care and welfare of animals. Her extensive knowledge of veterinary medicine has enabled her to perform effectively in her role at Tropical Manises, providing quality care and attention to the animals under her responsibility.
Outside of her professional career she enjoys reading and spending time with her family in her spare time.

Gloria Pérez Martínez
Veterinario
Gloria has been a member of our team at the Tropical Manises clinic for five years, since graduating from the CEU Cardinal Herrera University.She is passionate about internal medicine, and is a great cat lover. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Belén Puerto
Veterinaria
Belén showed a natural inclination toward veterinary medicine from an early age, a vocation she shared with her family.She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia, where she developed a special interest in Cardiology and Internal Medicine.
She began her career focusing on the veterinary care of exotic and wildlife species, working in various clinics and renomated rehabilitation centers in Valencia.
In 2020, she expanded her training in Internal Medicine of small animals, specializing in Pediatrics and Veterinary Cardiology.
Belén has accumulated solid experience managing emergency cases through her work in different clinics and hospitals across Valencia.

Marta Duato
Veterinaria
Marta graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Catholic University of Valencia and joined the Tropical Manises team in 2021. After completing her studies, she contributed to professional publications as a member of AVEPA.She also holds certifications as a BARF Coach from the IBC and as a Specialist in Canine and Feline Nutrition from ISED.
Currently, Marta is responsible for the Nutrition Service at our clinic, where she applies her knowledge to improve the health and well-being of our patients.

Layla Barrios
Veterinaria
Layla is a veterinarian graduated from the University of Zaragoza, with a strong interest in surgery and dermatology. Her vocation began at a very young age, rescuing and caring for animals she found in need—an experience that sparked her lifelong passion for animal welfare.She is currently furthering her training with a postgraduate degree in Soft Tissue Surgery at the University of Barcelona, with the goal of continuing to grow professionally and providing the highest level of care to her patients.

Blasi Artesero Contreras

A professional saleswoman since 1992, she joined Tropical Manises in 2005. Over the years, she has developed her career in sales techniques, customer service, complaint management, marketing and as a community manager.Blasi is passionate about the animal world and about connecting with people. A devoted mother, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and taking long walks with her dog Bimba.

Joana Hortoneda
Veterinary Assistant
Joana has developed a strong affinity for animals from an early age. After exploring different professional paths, she decided to train as a veterinary assistant.She began her professional experience in a shelter, where she completed her training, until she found an opportunity at Tropical Manises. Since then, she has found greater fulfillment in her career.

Maite Grimaldo Gómez
Veterinary Assistant
She has been part of the Tropical Manises team, working in customer service, since 2010. She is passionate about working with animals. Over the years, she has trained professionally in sales and marketing, store operations and customer service. She also holds a certificate in Clinical Assistance and Veterinary Care, with practical experience obtained at the Tropical Manises clinic.In her free time, she enjoys swimming and spending time with her family and friends, as well as enjoying the company of her dogs, whom she adores.

Verónica Gento
Veterinary Assistant
With training as a Veterinary Technician Assistant and in Assisted Therapy with Animals, her interest in pets has been constant since childhood. Since the end of 2023, she has been part of the Tropical Manises team.Outside of work, Verónica enjoys spending time with her loved ones, practicing art and staying connected with nature.

Laura Centonza

Laura joined our team after completing her Veterinary Technician Assistant certification this year. Originally from Italy, she moved to Valencia and decided to change her career path after graduating in Architecture to dedicate herself fully to animal care.She loves her work and feels grateful for the opportunity. Outside the clinic, she spends most of her time with her dogs, her greatest passion.

Carmen Shun
Veterinary Assistant
Trained as a veterinary assistant, she has always felt a strong connection with animals and developed an early interest in the animal world. She finds great fulfillment in helping care for and recover patients, as pets represent a deeply meaningful part of her life.She completed her internship as a veterinary technician assistant at Archiduque Carlos Hospital and, thanks to the opportunity provided by Tropical Manises Clinic, has been able to continue growing professionally within the clinical field.

Julia is deeply passionate about animals, a vocation that has been present since childhood, as she grew up surrounded by them. Over the years, that love naturally evolved into a professional path, leading her to train as a Veterinary Technician Assistant, obtaining her qualification from the Nubika school.She has always shown a strong interest in animal care and welfare, something reflected in her daily dedication. Being part of the Tropical Manises team is a source of pride for her, as it allows her to actively contribute to the health and well-being of the clinic’s furry patients.
