At Veterinary Hospital Animal24, in Córdoba, we are determined to provide the best care for our patients.

There are many conditions that require keeping the animal in the hospital under supervision for the administration of intravenous fluids or the monitoring of vital signs. A period of hospitalisation is also required before, during, and after surgery to perform pre-operative blood profiles and, subsequently, to ensure a full recovery after surgery before discharge.

Our clinic features a spacious hospitalisation ward, with cages for small and medium-sized animals, as well as larger walk-in kennels (boxes) for large and giant dogs. Additionally, we have a separate, exclusive cattery ward and an isolation unit for animals with infectious diseases to prevent transmission to other hospitalised patients.

To aid their recovery and make their stay as comfortable as possible, the kennels are equipped with individual lighting, underfloor heating, and oxygen therapy.

Hospitalisation is essential for animals that have recently undergone surgery, as well as for conditions requiring continuous treatment and supervision (renal failure, severe infectious processes, digestive disorders, etc.) where they receive intravenous fluid therapy, parenteral nutrition, and medication.

All of this takes place under the constant supervision of vets and veterinary nurses at Veterinary Hospital Animal24, who check their hydration levels, nutrition, and vital signs. They perform the necessary wound care, administer oxygen therapy, and remain alert to any changes in the patient’s condition to carry out further testing or adjust the treatment as their recovery progresses.

We feature two separate wards for hospitalising dogs and cats, as well as a third independent space to isolate animals with infectious diseases, preventing any potential cross-contamination to other hospitalised patients.

The hospitalisation ward is fully equipped for the monitoring and treatment of all types of animals, featuring heat lamps, infusion pumps, and an intensive care unit (ICU) kennel where oxygen levels and temperature are strictly controlled.
