MIPO Technique

This radiograph corresponds to a comminuted fracture of the tibia of a cat in which a specific bridge-type locking plate was implanted, i.e. custom-made for the patient. The special feature is that we used the MIPO technique (Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis) or minimally invasive technique for the treatment of fractures with plates. This allowed for less surgical trauma to the patient and an earlier recovery with fewer complications.
